Was called up with little fanfare in 1981-82 and scored 43 points in 43 games (21 goals, 22 assists)... his 16th goal of that season helped the Isles to their 15th consecutive victory, breaking a 50-year-old record... blossomed into one of the team's all-time greats... fifth on Isles' all-time scoring list with 287 goals and 323 assists for 610 points in 694 games... a former Islander captain... nicknamed "Pup" as a contrast to older brother and teammate Duane, who was called "Dog"... one of six brothers to have played in the NHL... last dynasty member to be active in the NHL... retired from the Chicago Blachawks following the 1997-98 season, his 17th in the league... in May 1999, purchased the Red Deer Rebels, an Alberta-based Western Hockey League team... will serve as the team's head coach for the 1999-2000 season.
