The Champs: Bill Carroll
A cornerstone of the penalty killing team during the middle years of the dynasty... his eight shorthanded points in 1981-82 still stand as an NHL rookie record... his name is also etched on the Stanley Cup as a member of the 1984-85 Edmonton Oilers... always seemed to score at just the right time... of his 19 regular-season goals as an Islander, four were shorthanded and four were game winners... currently a businessman in the Toronto area.
Here's more from Carroll on the 1980-81 season.
