The Champs: Dave Langevin
A classic stay-at-home defenseman, "Bam-Bam" arrived in 1979 to provide a distraction for opponents in front of the Isles' net... played much of his NHL career on damaged knees, but had a burning desire to compete and win... enshrined in the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame... came to the Isles from future Stanley Cup rival Edmonton, and was traded to one-time Stanley Cup foe Minnesota... coached the Idaho Steelheads of the West Coast Hockey League until April 1998... is currently head coach of the South Suburban Steers, a Mendota Heights, MN-based entry in the Minnesota Junior Hockey League.
Here's more from Langevin on the 1981-82 season.
