The Champs: Bob Bourne

Bob Bourne

His may not have been a household name, but true Islander fans remember how Bob Bourne's speed and versatility helped shape the dynasty... led the team in playoff scoring in 1983 with 28 points in 20 games... eighth on Isles' all-time scoring list with 542 points in 814 games... fourth on team's all-time shorthanded goals list with 16... named a Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year in 1988... played minor league baseball with Clark Gillies... has held several coaching positions in the International Hockey League and the Western Professional Hockey League, and recently replaced Butch Goring as coach of the Utah Grizzlies.
